The Mark of the Beast

In today’s readings, we consult the oracle about the significance of the prophecy about ‘the Mark of the Beast.’ We work with the Gnostic Gospels and the Tarot of the Angels.

It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.

Prophecy

On my spiritual journey, I have come across many people claiming to channel Divine Wisdom. Mostly, their words seemed to me like empty bones, without the marrow, the wind whistling through them. It recently dawned on me why I felt that way.

When I was a church-going Christian, I used to read my Bible. In the Bible there are countless prophecies that have come true. There is also so much condensed wisdom in this book, that you could spend your whole life learning from it and never be done.

The reason I stepped away from the Bible and organised religion was my own relationship with ‘churchianty’ and a spirit of rejection. I guess you could say I ditched the baby with the bathwater. Prophecy brought me back to God’s truth. Watch the video below and you will see what I mean.

So for today’s daily oracle we are asking Holy Spirit to enlighten our minds about what we need to know about the prophecy concerning the Mark of the Beast at this time.

Bibliomancy Reading

Today’s reading is from the Gnostic Gospels, a book simply named ‘Thunder.’ In it, we hear the voice of the soul:

I am knowledge and ignorance.
I am embarrassment and effrontery,
shameless and ashamed.
I am courage and fright.

I am war and peace. Listen!
I am disgraced yet almighty.

Notice my poverty and richness.
Don’t be unkind to me when I’m
trown upon the ground.

You’ll find me hidden in those
yet to come; don’t peer at me
when I’m on the dung heap.

Don’t desert me or cast me out;
you’ll find me in the Kingdom.

Don’t gaze at me when I’m ejected
in disgrace, nor mock me.

Don’t hurl me amongst those
who are slain violently.
I am merciful and cruel.

Thunder, Gnostic Gospels

Interpretation

Our souls are a mix between good and bad, light and dark, greed and grace. We live in times that are like a final exam for the soul’s growth. Are we mature enough to choose mercy over cruelty? Will we choose courage over cowering to the Beast?

We must examine our soul at this time and be honest about the state it is in. Our own honesty with ourselves is what will determine whether or not we will accept the Mark of the Beast.

Cartomancy Reading

22 april the mark of the beast

In today’s draw from the Tarot of the Angels (affiliate link) we have Strength, The Star and the Page of Swords.

Strength describes the internal struggle between our god-like Higher Self and the bestial nature of the lower self. The Star urges us to bear in mind how our little self is connected to the bigger picture, as well as to remember to call in grace as often as possible. The Page of Swords tells us that now is the time to closely examin prophecy and question how current events relate to it.

In the Strength card, we often see a lion but also various other types of ‘beasts.’ In the Haindl Tarot, for instance, a naked woman wrestles with a snake. In the Gnostic Gospels, Ialtabaoth, the ruling power of 3D Earth is depicted as a serpent with the head of a lion. The serpent part of this entity represents the reptile brain and the lion represents greed.

For myself, I have come to the conclusion that while all truth is God’s truth, the teachings of Christ are the ones that help me in the battle against the Beast, both within and without. The Mark of the Beast has drawn a line in the sand for me. I know which side I’m on now…

With Love
